Everyone asks me why we don't talk anymore,
Guess the language of love lost its sounds and words along the path of silence...

Everyone wonders why we don't meet anymore,
Your love that came through glances lasting few seconds, was probably enough for this life...

Everyone assumes that our love is dead and gone,
But in the moments when we think of each other, isn't love alive and singing somewhere....

Was never about you !

The sleep breaks out into restless dreams some nights,
I don’t know if it’s a longing or anguish of letting go

The tears that stream down, scar my face at times
As they evaporate in the hidden valleys of my heart

The simmering lava of the pain sizzles on some days
Like the silence of the dead volcano waiting to erupt 

The thoughts that keep floating around in my head
are now jumbled as they mix up past and future

It is my mind that’s keeping the love alive
Tiny pieces of my heart are too weak to hope anymore 

As my soul goes about it’s quest of life
It’s my tears, fears, heart, silence and my love that matters

I once thought it was all about you...
Now I know it was not...yes it was never about you
It was always about me !
